A Brief History of the Nova.

 

 

 

An inaugural general meeting of a new cycling club was held in January 1969 to be formed by the merger of the Mercury Road Club, Royal Oak Road Club and the Saxon Road Club.  Nova CC was decided as the name of the new club and their colours purple and yellow. Club officials and a committee were appointed and a constitution agreed.

A Brief History of the West Manchester CTC.

 

 

 

The section was formed in 1935 by George Hewitt, a rugged and enthusiastic cyclist in his early thirties, who placed the following announcement in the official magazine of the Manchester DA, the Northern Wheel:   

 

Proposed URMSTON and DISTRICT SECTION”
